2017 is a big year for Derrick Custom Homes. Not only are we excited about the upcoming projects we have for the year, but we are thrilled to be celebrating our 50th anniversary! Derrick Companies began in 1967 when Bill Derrick Sr. created the proposal for his very first remodeling project at his kitchen table in New Richmond. The first company office alternated between the basement and kitchen of the home which was located on the family farm. From there, Bill and his wife Mary Ann built a company that would grow to build new homes, create real estate developments, and add a commercial contracting division. What started as a local, New Richmond business, has grown into a well known and trusted name in the Eastern Minnesota and Western Wisconsin areas thanks to our hardworking employees and the faith and trust our customers place in us. Be sure to keep your eyes and ears peeled for upcoming events that Derrick Custom Homes will be hosting to celebrate our 50th anniversary! We are excited to celebrate our success with our past, present and future clients which all have helped to pave the way to this milestone in our company’s history. One such relationship is with the city of Woodbury, MN where we have two custom home communities; Twenty One Oaks and Woodhaven. Woodbury is also celebrating their 50th anniversary this year. The township has several celebrations planned to honor their past and look forward to what the future brings, but kicking off their community’s season of celebration will be the State of the City event on Sunday, February 26, at Central Park in Woodbury.
